On Tuesday, July 5 some Shops at the Makola Market in Accra got burnt. An eyewitness has given an account on how the fire started.
According to him the fire started because of a generator. He said the light were off, and due to that, one of the shop owners decided to put on a generator which exploded leading to the fire outbreak.
Goods worth thousand of cedis belonging to several traders and customers got destroyed.
