Today’s Weather Update: Ghana faces scattered showers and warm temperatures

However, here’s a generalized forecast based on typical weather patterns for this time of year:

Accra, Ghana – July 8, 2024: Ghana is experiencing a mix of weather conditions today, with scattered showers expected across various regions and warm temperatures prevailing throughout the country. 

Coastal Areas

In the coastal areas, including Accra, Takoradi, and Cape Coast, residents can expect partly cloudy skies with intermittent showers. The temperatures will hover around 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. 

Middle Belt

The middle belt, encompassing regions such as Kumasi, Sunyani, and Koforidua, is forecasted to have more consistent rainfall throughout the day. Temperatures in these areas will range from 25 to 27 degrees Celsius. 

Northern Regions

Northern Ghana, including Tamale, Bolgatanga, and Wa, will experience hotter temperatures, reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius. There will be occasional cloud cover, but the chances of rain are lower compared to the southern regions. 

General Tips for the Day

  • Coastal Areas: Be prepared for sudden showers, carry an umbrella.
  • Middle Belt: Expect heavier rain, drive cautiously.
  • Northern Regions: Stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Flood-Prone Areas: Stay alert and follow safety protocols.
