Ghanaian dancehall icon Charles Nii Armah Mensah, widely known as Shatta Wale, has taken a direct swipe at the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, accusing him of reckless abuse of power that could politically backfire on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the next general election.
The artist’s fiery comments follow an alleged raid at his residence by EOCO operatives.
In a strongly worded social media post, Shatta Wale blasted the EOCO boss, writing: “EOCO BOSS, THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA DIDN’T PUT YOU IN THAT OFFICE TO COME AND HUMILIATE THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY… REMEMBER GOD NO SLEEP!!”
His statement appeared to suggest that the agency had gone too far in its operation, describing the move as humiliating and unjustified.
Wale didn’t hold back in linking the incident to future political consequences, saying: “Raymond Archer EOCO BOSS, Ibe you go make NDC go out of power next 4yrs. Bringing guns to my house was uncalled for!!!!” His claim points to growing concerns about how state institutions operate and the potential impact of public perception on political parties heading into the 2028 elections.
While EOCO has not publicly commented on the allegations, the controversy has gained significant attention online, with many rallying behind the outspoken musician.
Shatta Wale’s intervention has stirred political debate, putting Raymond Archer and the NDC under intense public scrutiny as questions mount over the intersection of law enforcement and political strategy.
