The High Commission of African Diasporas in France (HCADF) and the Diaspora African Forum (DAF) have joined forces to catalyse development and engagement across the continent.
This strategic partnership aims to unite various diaspora organisations to drive impactful projects in education, healthcare, and agriculture.
Led by President Rachida Kaaout, the HCADF represents a federation of approximately 1,800 associations.
The organisation is dedicated to restoring dignity to African communities abroad while facilitating sustainable development in their home countries.
As part of a new global vision, the Commission is now working to establish similar diaspora bodies worldwide.
Speaking to the press at an event held at the DAF Embassy in Accra, on Thursday, February,26,2026, Mrs Kaaout emphasised that the partnership provides the “missing link” for many in the diaspora.
While the desire to give back is high, she noted that many individuals lack the necessary structured platforms to do so effectively.
The Commission aims to bridge this gap by providing a clear framework for investment and skills-sharing.
Also sharing more lights in the partnership, Ambassador Dr Erieka Bennett, who spoke on behalf of the D Embassy of the Diaspora African Forum [DAF], described the partnership as the first of its kind forged by her outfit.
Ambassador Bennett expressed pride in collaborating with the High Commission of African Diasporas in France “The partnership could serve as a model for other countries seeking to strengthen diaspora engagement”. She said.
The two parties then visited the Sankofa Wall at the DAF Embassy for a memorial ceremony
