American gospel legend Kirk Franklin has released a new song, ‘Hope In You’, featuring Afrobeats superstar Davido.
The song is from Franklin’s new double album, I Am What I Am, released on October 30, 2026, via Fo Yo Soul Recordings, TRIBL Records and Uptown Records.
The 14-track project comprises seven studio recordings and seven live recordings, and features collaborations with Jelly Roll, GloRilla, Tobe Nwigwe and Davido.
“Hope In You” runs for three minutes and 27 seconds and blends Franklin’s gospel sound with Afrobeats.
The track was previewed at an exclusive album listening session in Atlanta on October 12, where it was described as having a steady bass rhythm and uplifting production, with Davido delivering a melodic verse.
After the album’s release, Franklin and Davido appeared on the music platform From The Block to perform the song.
