Insights: First Atlantic Bank Management Caught Up in Sexual Abuse Of Female Employees

Millions of female workers are forced to work in an intimidating, hostile or humiliating environment, and experience various unwelcome forms of sexual conduct. Women are asked for sexual favours, exposed to inappropriate jokes, insinuations, and comments, and unwanted physical contact that can amount to an assault.

Meanwhile, a lady named Deborah Seyram Adablah has filed a suit against Ernest Kwasi Nimako, the Manager of a popular universal bank, First Atlantic Bank, in Accra, Ghana.

According to the plaintiff Deborah, he accused the management of First Atlantic Bank of persistently harassing and abusing her sexually.

According to a writ of summon, if any female staff refuses to give in to the demands of the senior male staff, your life at the bank will be made unhappy and uncomfortable.

Again, almost all the senior managers have a girlfriend in the bank and they change the ladies at their will.

The lover of the Chief Financial Officer also alleged that management also pimped ladies to make advances to the wealthy customers with the view to sleeping with them and getting them to open accounts with the bank to the detriment of the female staff.

 She again disclosed that she was pushed to reach out to male customers to bait them with sex in exchange for opening accounts with the bank.

In a viral court, statement gazed by Hotfmghana.com ruling in favour of the accused persons including, Mr Nimako has been ordered to comply.
